A couple of decades ago internet was a research tool used by educational institutes, DoD and rich super-geeks. Microsoft and Apple were small businesses. Now internet is a household name and internet companies like Google command its own verb in the dictionary. But technology has not stopped there - the hardware, software and web-services industry have continued to expand and innovate. If someone wants to buy a new PC they have to look at not just ’speed’ or ‘hard disk size’ but a hundred other things which determine the quality of the product such as CPU speed, memory, FSB speed, video card setup and a host of other options. People who are not related to IT are having problems with things such as setting up a wireless network and playing DVD’s and home movies with a single media player. This is why I created TeqEdge.com – to answer the most frequently asked technology related questions. This blog is designed to shed light on such questions from a non-tech perspective.
