Squeeze Your Blog For The Last Drop Of Juice

Are you tired of the same old Alexa traffic chart popping up everywhere you go on the internet? I know I am. I see the Alexa branded graph on at least one blog daily and this has been fairly consistent for the past few weeks. Almost reminds me how plague spreads through a population quickly and mercilessly. Well, if you want to move away from kissing “A-list” bloggers ass (and blindly doing what they do) then use Blog Juice Calculator.

Brought to you by Text Link Ads, Blog Juice Calculator uses a recipe of a dash of Technorati, Alexa, Bloglines and Links. This is very easy to use and a fun way to look at your blog through the eyes of 4 major blog ranking engines while at the same time comparing your blog to gizmodo, engadget and lifehacker. Although it’s not much of a comparison, they sit at the very top and more than likely your blog (just like mine) will occupy one of the lowest spots.
How To Calculate Juice?
Enter blog URL, pick a category and done! If you want you can choose to compare it to another blog of your choice. Below is a typical outcome of the Blog Juice Calculator in the Computer-Tech category.

Sounds good! Hopefully it will provide a better overall picture of a blog’s reach than one measure alone.

I think they weight the BlogLines too high and that produces skewed results. For example, it shows 4 Bloglines subscribers for me while I actually have close to 30 times that number of RSS subscribers.
I’d also question is taking links from Technorati provides an accurate count of link strength but they don’t weight that so high.
