Trouble In Microsoft World Over Calculator
Jan 15th, 2008 | By Shamim | Category: Microsoft, WTFIn today’s Vista and Zune driven world the last thing I expected from OldNewThing MSDN blog was to talk about the calculator application. Yes you heard me … I mean the calculator application that has been a part of Microsoft Windows for as far back as I can remember. I was surprised to see the 910 word blog post all about the calculator application and mostly regarding the percent (%) function and how it should work. All the while I was reading the post I was asking myself Is this a serious post?
The calculator post seems to be a reaction to a MS KnowledgeBase article titled Incorrect Calculator Results When You Use the Percent Key which implies the percent function screws up your results when you use it along with + or – in any combination. Way to go Microsoft!
