Social networking website MySpace has launched a games website. Keeping true to its tradition of poor and awkward design MySpace crew has coded the games website in the same manner. Featuring exclusively flash games it will appeal to the pre-teens. MySpace games has a prominent social undertone and with the millions of page hits every day is sure to make generate handsome revenue for the MySpace overlords. TechCrunch describes the design of MySpace Games site as ”won’t win any awards for innovation, indeed it looks like a < $100 template buy from Digitalpoint, but ultimately that doesn't make a difference.” That sums it up quite nicely.

Looks like it is going to be a not-so-merry Christmas for the Xbox Live crowd if the Xbox Live Operations team does not get its act together. There have been reports of temporary outages and delays this evening of the online Xbox service which allows players to play opponents via the Internet. But this outage has ruined the plans of many online game parties scheduled for this Christmas weekend. Now Major Nelson’s blog has provided an official status update that there is an outage behind the scenes. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
