Last night during my late night / early morning ice cream tasting I wondered how many websites there are on the internet. My mind flowed freely and it might have been also stimulated by the high sugar level. I started to compare websites and people. Let’s have a comparison shall we.

Websites are fairly easy to make - one person can make 2 or more sites of varying designs. But so are people - get a man, a woman and one or more bottles of wine and there is the potential of creating another person.

Websites come in all sizes, shapes, colors; some are pretty and stupid and some rich and ugly. But it is very difficult to find a smart, rich and pretty site all in one domain … Just like us humans.

Several entitles can collaborate and build a website. Think of how a wiki is made although most CMS’s allow for group input. Same thing goes for people. To ‘build’ (or rather, create) another person you need at least one man and one man but it can also be a group project - such as one woman and two men or two women and one man or any combination of men and women.

In conclusion it is quite clear that creating a website is as easy as creating a human. Following this logic and the rate at which human population is expanding and number or websites and active domains is increasing everyone can conclude websites would very soon outnumber people.

Earth, 2019. A team of US scientists makes a frightening discovery on an island in the South China Sea. All contact with the team is lost when the North Korean Government quickly seals off the area. The United States responds by dispatching an elite team of Delta Force Operators to recon the situation. As tension rises between the two nations, a massive alien ship reveals itself in the middle of the island. The ship generates an immense force sphere that freezes a vast portion of the island and drastically alters the global weather system. Now the US and North Korea must join forces to battle the alien menace. With hope rapidly fading, you must fight epic battles through tropical jungle, frozen landscapes, and finally into the heart of the alien ship itself for the ultimate Zero G showdown.

A community website called inCrysis has also grown around the game featuring forums, screenshots and videos. Recently I am noticed a few internet celebrities visiting my blog. I would have never known this had I not implemented a MyBlogLog widget which shows blog visitors with a MyBlogLog account. First it was Ian Kennedy who works for Yahoo! on MyBlogLog along with several other sites such as MyBlogLog Blog, WidgetSummit and Everwas. Then it was Victor F and Courtney Tuttle right after each other. Victor is from Blogging Zoom and Bu.bulicio.us. Blogging Zoom is an alternative to Digg and is growing exponentially. I would be doing a review on it at some point in the future. Bu.bulicio.us is comparatively low key and is a personal blogging experiment by Victor. Finally we come to Courtney Tuttle who is probably one of the best known bloggers out there. Well if you don’t believe me take a look at her stats – ranking at 22000 at Alexa is no small feat with a Google Pagerank 4.

By the way if you are wondering how Victor, Ian and Courtney managed to find my blog it is because when I am visiting their blogs I leave a comment every once in a while. After all bloggers are on a social playing field, play nice with others or get lost among 50 million other blogs.
