Ever had a question about the snippets showing up on a Google search page? Look no further. Matt Cutts explains the new enhancements made to enhance your search experience on Google. Who is Matt Cutts? He is a Google software engineer since January 2000, currently the head of Google’s Webspam team.

The video starts off with how Google assesses the page title and how it might vary on the search results even though it might say something different on your site. He then proceeds to discuss the different parts of a snippet and covers the brief description about the page (think About Us page or Open Directory Project description). Video also covers the significance of the plus box google-starbucks-plus to show more information directly on the search page such as map address, or stock quote history. Cached page features such as the last crawled date and time are also discussed along with how site links is obtained using the Google search algorithm and is not edited manually. By the way Matt also clarifies that no money is involved in generating the site links.
